Paris and Adrian, Part Deux?

Well, well, well. What do we have here? That overly bronzed back belongs to none other than Paris Hilton, and she's hugging Adrian Grenier at the premiere of The Hottie and the Nottie. Adrian's show of support for P's new flick comes just days after they were spotted having a cozy, paparazzi-free dinner at the Phoenician in Phoenix.

Just to refresh your memory, these two were hanging out a while back, working on a "documentary," and they had everyone guessing what was going on between them. They frolicked on the beach in Malibu, hit art galleries and eco-movie premieres and hung out late at night, while Adrian claimed they were just friends. And then the friendship (and photo ops) seemed to fizzle.

What to make of this new development? Well, if you've seen the previews for the movie, you so know Adrian wasn't there to see the flick. According to Reel Girl, it's painful to sit through. And it's not like this is one of those A-list, serious actor premieres in which stars who aren't associated show up, hoping to seem equally important.

So, Adrian's appearance at the screening, coupled with their dinner date à deux, makes me think something's up with these two again. What about you? Sound off in the poll.

Britney Spears lashes out 'Who is my family?' after Dad snags stewardship

Even after she exits a Los Angeles psychiatric ward, Britney Spears will face serious questions about her competence to handle both her money and her two small sons.

The manic ex-Mouseketeer was finishing a 72-hour hospital stint arranged by her psychiatrist and loved ones, although it was unclear Saturday if she would be released early Sunday morning.

While she was locked down, her father went to court and gained control of her assets and access to the increasingly irrational pop princess.

The decision to did not sit well with Spears, who flew into a rage inside the UCLA Medical Center's psych ward after discovering her father won his fight to take control of her spiraling life, according to celebrity Web site TMZ.com.

In a profane outburst, Spears promised to battle her parents in court. "Nobody's taking my house," she reportedly screamed. "Who is my family?"

Dad Jamie Spears' triumph may only be temporary - he's due in court Monday with attorney Andrew Wallete for another hearing on whether they should continue as conservators for his troubled daughter.

Under the court decision, he was permitted to hire round-the-clock security for his daughter and bar people from her Los Angeles mansion.

Manager Osama Lutfi, who remains at odds with the singer's parents, was also told to stay away from the singer.

In a separate hearing tomorrow, Britney Spears' lawyers in her custody battle with ex-husband Kevin Federline were due back in court. The lawyers, after Spears twice refused to appear in court, have asked off the case.

It was unclear if her second hospitalization in a month would change their plans. Lawyer Anne Kiley didn't return a phone call Saturday.

Spears' bizarre antics led a judge to bar her from visiting sons Sean Preston, 2, and Jayden James, 1.

There was still a question about when Spears would exit the neuro-psychiatric unit, where she arrived early Thursday with a police escort costing a reported $25,000.

The 72-hour commitment expires early Sunday, although there was a chance her relatives or doctor could petition for Spears to remain hospitalized for an additional period.
